Vision and Values:

Our vision is simple, provide instruments to underserved children through their local school programs and when possible create and provide educational services to support those programs. We value education, and integrity but above all we value inspiration. Sparking the creative fire within the children is our most important goal. We believe this can be achieved by exposing students to inspriring music both contemporary, classic and world rhythms that bridge language, culture,  and people across the world.

Execution:

Through grants, donations and partnerships with existing groups like the rotary club, NAMM Foundation, Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation and others.  Reaching out to school disticts and local communities for older instruments which we can repair and rehome, will provide a great starting point for finding resources. Once repaired they will be shipped to countries and be distributed locally. Currently we have a warehouse in Cotati where donations can be collected, inspected repaired and shipped.

Long Term Vision:

While the main vision or rather function of this non profit is to provide material instruments into the hands of children across North, South and Central America, the true purpose is the education, and inspiration of the next generation of children, and exposing these young musicians to styles of music from across the Americas, including but not limited to Jazz, Afrocuban, Funk, Cumbia, Rock, Samba, Reggae, as well as teaching the history of these musical traditions, the importance of the Clave in both Afrocuban and funk and how these styles and cultures have influenced each other. We aim to create an ambassadorship program where we can bring musicians and bands from different regions to perform and do workshops with the children in our associated schools. For instance Preservation Hall Jazz Band Performing and Teaching in San Jose Costa rica and then doin a workshop with the local school district. This will create even more dialogue, friendship, collaboration and of course, music.
